The world of television shows and the characters portrayed in them in today’s world have a significant role to play. For most people watching these favourite fictional characters of theirs is what enhances their personality which in turn makes them the person they are in life in almost every single aspect such as their talking, walking, thinking and even responding pattern.

One of the most notable and famous show in the world which has played with the various emotions of their views providing them with countless laughs and cry and even confusion is “Friends”. The show is about 6 friends being 3 men and 3 women who live in the same apartment complex opposite to each other’s homes and go through life, love, hardship and breakups together.   1. Chandler Muriel Bing

Chandler Muriel Bing or Chandler is one of the most realistic characters in friends which one can relate to in real life. His Wit, Sense of Humor, Sarcasm, Attitudes towards life and his Job which not even the characters of friends know clearly about, are the essential aspects which make him among the most beloved character on the show.

  1. Rachel Karen Green

Rachel Green is one of the only characters on this show for whom the “Self-made person” tagline perfectly fits. Despite having wealthy parents who can grant her everything, she cuts all of her credit and debit card after running away moments being married off, just to start a new life of self-independence. Her tiny quirks such as her dreamland behaviour and the possibility to fall in infatuation with good looking guys who seem to her like prince charming are what makes her a very relatable character.

  1. Monica Geller

Monica Geller is the OCD freak of the group, cause even an unfluffy pillow is enough to get her spidey sense tingling. The character in the show is portrayed as a neat freak, chirpy and hates to lose a challenge despite instigating the challenge in the first place person. During the course of the show, it is shown that Chandler and Monica get married which is one of the main things which every fan of the show loved as those two fit perfectly like the pieces of an almost solved puzzle in each other’s life.

  1. Joseph Francis Tribbiani (Joey)

If there is one such character to which the term of a lovable goof and playboy can be entitled to then that character is without a doubt, Joey. The nature of Joey in the show is shown as a person who loves to go out on dates, especially if the date involves pizza and a beer. Along with all this, being a foodie and having a can-do attitude is what makes him a very trusting friend among all the friends as despite knowing about Chandler and Monica’s relationship before all the others he keeps his mouth closed and tries to help them to keep this a secret by taking on various blames during several instances.

  1. Phoebe Buffay

If there is one character who has a heart of gold in the entire show, then that character is Phoebe. Along with taking in Rachel to live with her and helping out Joey land several auditions she was also the one who helped Chandler pick out the ring which he then uses to propose Monica. Being kind,  creative and fun are just a few of Phoebe’s character traits, which makes her the best friend on the show despite her having a difficult childhood.

  1. Ross Geller (Dr Ross Geller)


The character of Ross in this entire show could be said as the main plot point of the show as in the very first episode his childhood crush runs into the cafe he is sitting at and at the very end of the episode of this show they end up together and that too after having a kid without getting married. As Phoebe says on the show, every person has something special in them and in Ross’s case its divorce. Throughout the entire show, Ross gets divorced a total number of 3 times and has two kids while not being married to either woman. The characters love life is one of the main essences of the show, which makes it much more interesting to the viewers.
